Permanent Lip Blushing in Houston

Permanent Lips

Permanent lip tattooing is versatile procedure that can change the size and shape of your lips, give a soft blended lip line or a sharper line for a more defined look. You can keep it simple by choosing a natural looking color or go for the more vibrant lipstick effect.

Lip Liner $250

This option is for those who want to enhance the shape of the lips without having to go through the everyday hassle of applying lip liner.

Luxe Lips $550

Ditch the lipstick and opt for smudge proof permanent lips. Luxe lips uses combination of shading techniques that will give your lips a natural (lip-blushed) look or a bold lipstick effect while adding fullness, color, and dimension.

Lip Neutralization $575

This treatment cancels out dark melanin rich lips. Results are lighter and warmer lips with natural results.

*If you have dark lips and are trying to lighten them, please email us photos or schedule a consultation. Please note that some clients may not be suitable for permanent makeup on the lips due to the natural undertones occurring in the skin, which may affect the outcome of the color.

Allergies to tattoo ink or permanent makeup pigments are not common, but it’s always better to be safe than sorry. If you have an allergy to colorants, such as those found in food or clothing, we recommend doing a patch test one month prior to your procedure. However, if you already have tattoos, have minor sensitivities to makeup, or have seasonal allergies, a patch test isn’t necessary. Rest easy knowing that we have your best interests in mind and will ensure you have a comfortable and safe experience. Please call our studio if you would like to schedule a patch test.

  • Active Herpes Simplex Virus (Cold Sores): Increased risk of outbreaks.
  • Recent Lip Fillers or Surgery: Healing period after injections or surgery.
  • Chronic Dry/Chapped Lips: Having dry, chapped lips makes it hard to achieve smooth, even pigment application. This condition can lead to poor pigment retention, resulting in uneven results. It also increases irritation, prolongs healing, raises the risk of infection, and creates an uneven surface.

Not every individual needs an in-person consultation. However, we do require that you send photos to our email at contact@dermaluxespa.com when booking your appointment. If you are unsure which treatment to select, have any contraindications, or have had previous permanent makeup done elsewhere, a consultation is required.

Permanent makeup is a wonderful way to enhance your natural beauty, and it’s designed to last for a good while. Typically, it can last anywhere from 1 to 3 years, and often even longer, depending on factors such as your skin type, aftercare routine, and lifestyle habits. If you have oily skin or lead an active lifestyle, it may be necessary to schedule touch-up appointments more often to maintain the longevity of your permanent makeup. We recommend waiting at least one year, and applying makeup may be necessary. If you book more than three appointments within the first year, including the initial appointment and touch-up, we will decline the appointment. This is done to preserve the integrity of the skin.

The duration varies depending on the area being treated and the complexity of the design. Typically, a session can last anywhere from 1 to 3.5 hours.

Healing varies based on the individual and the area treated. Following the aftercare instructions provided to you on the day of your appointment is essential for optimal healing.

During the first 10 days of healing after getting permanent makeup, it’s important to avoid the following:

  • Touching the Area: Avoid touching the treated area with your hands to prevent infection.
  • Picking or Scratching: Do not pick, scratch, or rub the scabs or flakes to avoid pigment loss and scarring.
  • Water Exposure: Keep the area dry; avoid swimming, hot tubs, saunas, and long showers.
  • Sweating: Minimize activities that cause heavy sweating, such as intense workouts, as sweat can interfere with healing.
  • Makeup: Avoid applying makeup on or near the treated area to prevent contamination and irritation.
  • Skincare Products: Refrain from using creams, lotions, exfoliants, or other skincare products on the treated area unless recommended by your artist.
  • Sun Exposure: Protect the area from direct sunlight and avoid tanning beds, as UV rays can cause fading and irritation.
  • Sleeping on the Face: Try not to sleep on your face to prevent rubbing and pressure on the treated area.
  • Alcohol and Caffeine: Limit alcohol and caffeine consumption, as they can thin the blood and delay the healing process.
  • Chemical Treatments: Avoid facials, chemical peels, laser treatments, and other cosmetic procedures that could affect the treated area.

Yes, touch-ups are often necessary for permanent makeup. The initial application may not achieve the desired color intensity, so a touch-up helps fine-tune the pigment. Some areas may fade more quickly than others, and a touch-up ensures even color distribution. Adjustments may also be needed to perfect the shape and symmetry. Additionally, touch-ups help maintain the appearance over time, as all permanent makeup gradually fades. We recommend a touch-up within 6-8 weeks after the initial procedure, with maintenance touch-ups every 1-2 years depending on the individual’s skin type and lifestyle.
