Saline Removal
Li-FT® is a safe and gentle, all-natural solution that uses a hypertonic saline solution to gently lighten unwanted permanent makeup. This natural-based solution is gentle and can be used on most skin types, which makes it a great option for those who are sensitive or have had reactions to other tattoo removal methods. It may be used to help fade brows, eyeliner, or lip pigment and can support correction over a series of treatments.
PhiRemoval
PhiRemoval is a great option for removing stubborn ink in areas such as eyebrows, eyeliner, and lip colors, particularly those tattooed outside the lip line. PhiRemoval’s main ingredient is glycolic acid, and it boasts a high removal rate. However, it is not suitable for all skin types. Importantly, this treatment should only be performed by an experienced, certified PhiRemoval specialist, a service we offer.

FAQs
How does laser microblading removal work?
The Enlighten III laser uses advanced picosecond technology to break down permanent makeup pigment at incredible speed, measured in trillionths of a second. Unlike traditional lasers that break ink into larger fragments, this system shatters pigment into ultra-fine particles that your body can clear more efficiently. The result is faster, more effective fading of microblading, brow tattoos, eyeliner, and some lip pigment.
With three specialized wavelengths, the Enlighten III allows for precise treatment across a wide range of pigment colors. This versatility is especially important in permanent makeup removal, where pigments can vary in depth, density, and composition.
We also utilize the Quanta System, known for its combination of power and control. It is safe for all skin types and particularly effective on stubborn or resistant pigment. Its square-shaped beam delivers energy evenly across the skin, reducing the risk of overlap and supporting a more controlled, comfortable treatment.
Together, these advanced technologies allow us to customize each treatment, delivering more efficient results while prioritizing your skin’s safety and long-term health.
Can laser removal turn my eyebrow hair white?
In some cases, laser removal can temporarily lighten the natural brow hairs, causing them to appear lighter or white. This is more likely when higher settings are used to treat stubborn or lighter pigments. It occurs when the laser energy affects the pigment within the hair itself. The change is typically temporary, and the hair will return to its natural color as it grows out.
How many removal sessions will I need?
The number of sessions depends on several factors, including the depth, color, and age of the pigment. Most clients need at least three treatments, but some may require more for full removal.
To ensure your skin heals properly, we recommend waiting about one month between laser treatments and six to eight weeks between non-laser sessions.
For a personalized estimate, we encourage you to schedule a complimentary consultation at Dermaluxe Spa. We’ll assess your brows or treated area and create a customized removal plan just for you.
Is microblading removal painful?
Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, but both laser and non-laser removal can cause some mild discomfort. Most people describe it as a quick snap or light sting.
To keep you comfortable, we use a strong numbing cream during non-laser treatments and the Zimmer 6 cooling device for laser sessions. This device delivers a steady stream of cold air to the skin throughout the procedure, helping to reduce heat and irritation.
With these comfort measures in place, most clients find the treatment very manageable and much easier than they expected.
What should I expect during healing and aftercare?
Both laser and non-laser aftercare differ from one another. While downtime is minimal, it’s still important to follow proper aftercare after your removal appointment. Most clients can resume normal activities immediately; however, strenuous exercise, excessive sweating, and saunas should be avoided.
Additionally, direct sun exposure to the treated area should be minimized for at least a few weeks after each session. Makeup should also be avoided during the healing process, which typically lasts about a week. Mild redness, swelling, and slight discomfort are common side effects—usually subsiding within a few hours for laser removal and up to 48 hours for non-laser treatments.
Do I need a consultation?
Consultation is a Must for First-Timers.
Our consultations are complimentary (free) and are a great opportunity for us to understand your needs and expectations. We will also be able to provide you with an estimate of the price, approximate length of time, and expected results of your treatment.
How does Li-FT® saline removal work?
Li-FT® Saline Removal is a natural, non-laser method designed to safely lighten or remove unwanted permanent makeup and microblading using a specialized saline solution. The process begins with cleansing and prepping the skin, followed by the application of a numbing cream for comfort. A tattoo machine with a sterile needle then implants the Li-FT® solution into the treated area. This hypertonic saline solution creates an osmosis effect, drawing pigment particles to the surface. A scab forms over the area, trapping the pigment, and as it naturally sheds, it takes the unwanted pigment with it. Depending on the depth and saturation of the pigment, multiple sessions may be required for optimal results.
Li-FT® is a safe option for all skin types and an excellent alternative for individuals who are not candidates for laser removal. Additionally, it is formulated with natural ingredients such as purified water, lemon seed extract, and orange seed extract, making it a gentle yet effective method for lightening or removing unwanted pigment.
What is PhiRemoval and how is it different?
PhiRemoval is a non-laser technique designed to lighten or remove unwanted permanent makeup and microblading using a specially formulated glycolic acid solution. The process begins with cleansing and prepping the skin, followed by the application of a numbing cream for comfort. A tattoo machine or handheld tool with a sterile needle then implants the PhiRemoval solution into the treated area, similar to the original tattooing process. The solution works by breaking down pigment particles and bringing them to the skin’s surface. A scab then forms over the treated area, trapping the pigment, and as it naturally sheds, it removes the unwanted pigment. Depending on the depth and saturation of the pigment, multiple sessions may be required for optimal results.
PhiRemoval is a great option for most skin types and an ideal alternative for individuals who are not candidates for laser removal. It is formulated with effective ingredients, including glycolic acid, to help lift pigment safely. This method offers a controlled and precise approach to lightening or removing unwanted pigment while promoting healthy skin regeneration and is performed by a certified PhiRemoval specialist.
Who may not be a good candidate for microblading removal?
While laser removal is a safe and effective method for eliminating unwanted permanent makeup, certain conditions may delay or prevent treatment. Please let us know if any of the following apply to you:
Pregnancy or breastfeeding – For safety, we do not perform laser treatments during this time.
Active skin infections – This includes any open wounds, rashes, or irritation in the treatment area.
Chronic skin conditions – Such as eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis near the brows.
History of keloids or hypertrophic scarring – May increase the risk of unwanted side effects.
Recent sunburn or excessive sun exposure – Skin must be fully healed and not sensitized.
Photosensitizing medications – Certain antibiotics and medications increase sensitivity to light and may lead to adverse reactions.
Use of retinol, tretinoin, or hydroquinone – These must be stopped at least 2 weeks before treatment to reduce irritation and improve healing.
Recent Botox or dermal fillers in the brow area – We recommend waiting at least 2 weeks before proceeding with removal.
Recent skin treatments – Such as chemical peels, microneedling, or laser resurfacing should be spaced at least 4–6 weeks apart from laser removal.
If you’re unsure whether you’re a candidate for laser brow removal, we’re happy to review your medical history and discuss your options during a consultation.
