Soft Shaded Permanent Eyebrows
Imagine waking up with perfectly shaped brows every day. If you’re tired of filling them in, permanent eyebrows at Dermaluxe Spa offer effortless, natural-looking results. Our advanced techniques, including powder, ombre, and combo brows, create beautifully defined eyebrows that last.
What are Powder Eyebrows?
Powder eyebrows, also known as ombre brows or microshading, are a form of permanent makeup that gives your brows a soft, shaded look similar to filled-in makeup.
Instead of creating individual hair strokes like microblading, this technique uses a digital machine to gently deposit pigment into the skin for a smooth, powdery finish.
At Dermaluxe Spa, we tailor the color, shape, and intensity to complement your skin tone and natural brow style.
The result is beautifully defined brows that appear natural, full, and balanced. Powder brows are suitable for all skin types, including oily or sensitive skin, and offer long-lasting results with very little maintenance.

What to Expect
We offer a personalized Powder Brows experience designed to enhance your natural beauty and create perfectly shaped, permanent eyebrows.
Your visit begins with a detailed consultation where we take time to understand your features, goals, and desired look. Using the Golden Ratio, a precise brow mapping method, we design a shape that flatters your face and ensures beautiful symmetry.
Next, we help you choose a pigment shade that complements your skin tone and hair color for a seamless, natural result. Once the shape and color are finalized, we review every detail with you to make sure everything feels perfect before beginning the procedure.
Our skilled artists use a digital machine with fine needles to gently implant pigment into the skin, creating the soft, powdery finish that defines Powder Brows. The result mimics the look of softly filled-in makeup, adding fullness and definition while keeping your brows natural in appearance.
Whether you’re refining your shape or restoring lost fullness, our team is dedicated to helping you achieve long-lasting, beautifully shaded brows you’ll love.
FAQS
Is a consultation required before getting powder brows?
Important Information for New Permanent Makeup Clients
Do I need to send photos before my appointment?
Yes. When booking online, please upload clear photos of your brows, or email them to contact@dermaluxespa.comwithin 24 hours. This allows us to review your current brows and prepare for your appointment.
Is a consultation required before booking?
A consultation is required if you have had permanent makeup done by another artist. While not always necessary for first-time clients, we must assess previous work before proceeding.
What is the deposit policy if I’ve had work done elsewhere?
If you arrive for your appointment and we determine we cannot proceed due to previous work (and no prior consultation was completed), your deposit will be forfeited and a $50 fee may apply.
What should I know before my powder brow appointment?
To get the best results from your brow appointment, proper prep is essential:
Avoid tweezing, waxing, or plucking your brows so we can see your natural shape.
Don’t dye, bleach, or use staining brow gels before your appointment.
Avoid blood thinners like Aspirin, Fish Oil, Vitamin E, Niacin, and Ibuprofen for 48–72 hours.
Skip alcohol and caffeine for at least 48 hours to minimize bleeding and sensitivity.
Get medical clearance if you’re on anticoagulants, and stop use 5 days before your appointment if approved.
Stay hydrated the day before—it helps with healing.
Schedule Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin at least two weeks before or after your procedure.
No chemical peels or laser treatments on or near the brow area for six weeks.
Stop using retinoids or tretinoin creams at least two weeks in advance.
Avoid sun exposure and tanning for two weeks before and after to prevent irritation and fading.
What is the aftercare for powder brows?
Healing times vary from person to person, but the first 10 days are especially important. To ensure the best results, avoid the following:
Touching the area: Keep your hands away to avoid infection.
Picking or scratching: Let any flaking or scabbing heal naturally to prevent pigment loss and scarring.
Water exposure: Avoid swimming, hot tubs, saunas, and long showers—keep the area dry.
Sweating: Skip heavy workouts or anything that causes excessive sweating, which can interfere with healing.
Makeup: Do not apply any makeup on or near the treated area.
Skincare products: Avoid creams, exfoliants, and other products unless advised by your artist.
Sun exposure: Stay out of direct sunlight and tanning beds to prevent fading or irritation.
Sleeping on your face: Sleep on your back to avoid pressure or friction on the area.
Alcohol and caffeine: Reduce consumption to avoid thinning the blood and slowing the healing process.
Facial treatments: Postpone facials, chemical peels, and laser sessions until healing is complete.
Always follow the personalized aftercare instructions given at your appointment for the best outcome.
How long does the powder brow procedure take?
The duration varies depending on the area being treated and the complexity of the design. Typically, a session can last anywhere from 1 to 3 hours.
How long do powder brows last?
Powder Brows is a wonderful way to enhance your natural beauty, and it’s designed to last for a good while. Typically, it can last anywhere from 1 to 3 years, and often even longer, depending on factors such as your skin type, aftercare routine, and lifestyle habits.
Individuals with oily skin may find that the pigments fade faster. Similarly, those who engage in activities that cause excessive sweating, such as hot yoga, swimming, or sun exposure, may also notice quicker fading. On the other hand, individuals with normal to dry skin may find that the pigments last longer. Additionally, people who take good care of their skin by avoiding exfoliants and acids around the brow area that may cause fading, may also find that the results last longer.
Will I need touch-ups for my powder brows?
Yes, touch-ups are often necessary for powder brows. The initial application may not achieve the desired color intensity, so a touch-up helps fine-tune the pigment. Some areas may fade more quickly than others, and a touch-up ensures even color distribution. Adjustments may also be needed to perfect the shape and symmetry. Additionally, touch-ups help maintain the appearance over time, as all permanent makeup gradually fades. We recommend a touch-up within 6-8 weeks after the initial procedure, with maintenance touch-ups every 1-2 years depending on the individual’s skin type and lifestyle.
Can you correct or cover up previous brow work?
In many cases, yes—but not always. Whether we can correct powder brows done by another artist depends on several factors, including how many sessions you’ve had, the placement and shape of the pigment, the color used (such as blue, green, or purple tones), and how saturated the brows are.
If the pigment is too dark, uneven, or the area has too much scar tissue or discoloration—even after removal—we may not be able to proceed with additional permanent makeup. Every case is different, which is why a thorough consultation is required before we can move forward.
Who should avoid powder brows?
Some skin conditions and recent treatments can interfere with the success and safety of powder brows. You may not be a good candidate if any of the following apply:
Skin irritations: Includes acne, rosacea, eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, rashes, or any active skin infections in the brow area.
Recent Botox: Must wait at least two weeks after injections before scheduling your brow procedure.
Retinol or Tretinoin use: These must be discontinued for at least two weeks prior to your appointment to reduce skin sensitivity and prevent pigment from fading prematurely.
Recent cosmetic treatments: If you’ve had chemical peels, laser treatments, or microneedling in the brow area, wait at least one month to allow full healing.
Extremely oily skin or large pores: These skin types may have trouble retaining pigment. A consultation is recommended to determine the best technique.
Eyebrow hair transplant: We cannot perform brow tattooing on areas that have undergone a transplant.

Carlos truly listened to everything I asked for. Unlike many past experiences, he did not take off more eyebrow than I wanted. He respected my preferences and delivered exactly what I envisioned. I had my eyebrows waxed and laminated, and the results are great!
I also want to highlight Kashia, who I previously consulted with about microblading/nanoblading. She was incredibly honest with me about whether it was the right option and walked me through all of my choices instead of pushing a service that wasn’t best for me. That level of honesty and care really says a lot about this business. I definitely recommend Dermaluxe.
This was my first time trying a lash lift and tint. Carlos was patient and I appreciated how he explained each step of the process. My lashes look stunning! I will definitely be booking another appointment!
In addition to the excellent service, the salon itself is beautiful and exceptionally clean. I felt comfortable and relaxed. Thank y’all so much ❤️
Highly recommend Dermaluxe Spa!
From the moment I walked into Dermaluxe Spa, I knew I was in the right place. The atmosphere is clean, elegant, and welcoming — you can feel the intention behind every detail.
I received the Herbs2Peel facial by Alex Cosmetic, and I can confidently say this was one of the best skincare experiences I’ve ever had. My skin is glowing, nourished, and visibly smoother — and I truly feel like I’m walking in my Empress energy.
A heartfelt thank you to Carlos, who made the entire process feel calm, professional, and personal. He has such a gentle touch and explained each step with care. You can tell he truly loves what he does, and it shows in the results.
This is more than just a facial — it’s a transformation.
I left feeling refreshed, empowered, and already looking forward to my next visit.
If you’re serious about skincare, healing your skin barrier, or just craving a luxury-level experience that delivers, this is the place. You’ll be treated like royalty.
Kashia takes her time, wanting the perfect outcome for her clients.
She answered all of my questions and was very professional.
